What Is Love?
Ep 6 : Two days before

I was waiting for him at Gangnam roadside. This place supposed to be the last place that I had mark to visit. Perhaps he would give me some suggestions with another place to visit while I was here. I looked at the time. It's been 30 minutes since we promised to meet. I let out a sighed. Perhaps he's too busy today. I almost wanted to leave when I saw his sponsored car or MPV at the end of the road. I knew it! He probably just finished practicing.

The car stopped right in front of me. Someone opened the door from inside and ask me to come inside.

"Hello Miss Shila. Daesung sshi^[1] had send us to pick you up here. Please come inside".

I was standing there like a statue. He what? So, he's not here? But I planned to visit Gangnam with him today! What's going on?

"Err, hi. Then where is Daesung?" I asked.

"He'll be right with you after this," the person said again.

"Don’t worry, I'm one of his friend," he said.

I hesitated for a while, but since I knew that was his car, I didn't feel like the person was lying. I stepped into the MPV and saw another two persons. I greeted them and sat there awkwardly. They seemed nice, but I just couldn't bring myself to be more comfortable with them.

We arrived at YG building in Mapo-Gu, Seoul not long after. I was surprised. YG? Has he gone mad? Why would he want me here?

"Miss Shila, please get down here and follow me," the first person speak up to me.

"What? Really? But why?" I asked non-stop. They laughed at me.

"Don’t worry. Daesung already told the president and the security that he’ll have a guess today”.

He what?! Again, I just seemed that I couldn't hide my face reaction when I heard their words. They seemed serious with their welcoming gesture. I couldn't believe what I was facing this day. I just followed them into the building, passed through the security and bring me to BigBang practice room. I felt awkward to even greet anyone that passed by me. But it's their tradition to greet everyone that they passed. I was confused, but then I decided to give a greeting only when I saw the person leading my way greet somebody.

Each of them looked at me with a smile on their face. Perhaps it's weird that I was doing this according to my gut. On our way to the practice room, I lost count on how many famous idols that I've passed by. The one that I remembered most were Gummy, Sandara Park, Lee Jong Suk, and YG himself. He seemed to be in a hurry when we passed by him, but I didn't forget to greet him, even when he didn't even know me. I felt ridiculous, but I ddin’t want anyone to think that I was manner less.

When we arrived, one of them knocked the door to let the members knew that I was here.

"Excuse me, Daesung sshi⁷? I am sorry, but your guess is here," he said. Then I could clearly hear some voice from inside, asking them to let me in. The people that came with exchanged the gesture to me, asking me to go in. I thanked them before I went inside the room.

I was wondering if it would be okay to do this. I mean, I'm not even part of the family. Or workers, or even really know anyone there except Daesung. When I got in, the first person I saw was Kwon Ji Yong(GD), leaders of BIGBANG. My eyes suddenly became big. There's Seungri and Young Bae(Taeyang) as well. But Daesung and TOP were not there. I felt awkward. GD looked at me as if I'm there to do some audition.

I put on some gut to greet them.

"Hello. My name is Shila. You can just call me Shila, out of formality if you want," I said with a stuttered voice.

"Hm, ok I got it," GD replied to the short introduction of myself.

He then looked at Seungri with a smile. Was there anything that looked weird with me? Was it my pronunciation? But Daesung never said that I had a bad pronunciation. Or, did he just didn't want me to know? Everything came across my mind at that time. I had a thought that my face had turned pale on that time.

"Hey, what’s wrong? Are you okay?" Young Bae asked as if he's worried.

I swallowed. "What? Oh I’m fine, Young Bae sshi*," I reply.

"Don't call me Young Bae sshi*. You can just call all of us oppa*," he continued.

Call what? I was becoming more surprised. Even Daesung never asked me to called him oppa* before. Why with all this kindness?

"Ah hyung*! You can’t do that! She’s mine!"

I startled. Daesung?

I turned my body to the door. He was standing there with some food in his hand. TOP was standing beside him. He looked at me with smile. His angelic smiles. I melted again.

"Hello TOP sshi*," I greeted him. TOP looked at Daesung.

"So, it's her? Hey! She's so cute! Where did you find her!" he joked around. I could clearly fell my face that was becoming red.

"Hey, hey! Stop it! She's blushing already!" GD said with a serious face. But then he laughed. I didn't even know what to do. After Daesung and TOP put down the food on the floor where the rest of the members were sitting, he turned to me.

"Shila, come here. Let’s eat," he called me.

I still stood at that place like a statue, still had not been able to digest what was happening to my life right now. What on the world is happening right here? I want to laugh in disbelief, but I can't. I just stood there, blushing with all those teases they gave me. Daesung realized I seemed to be surprised, so he came and held my hand.

"Come here, Shila. Let’s eat. Don’t be afraid".

He smiled. I decided to just follow him. He sat down, passing the food for me. Jjajangmyeon! I love jjajang! I looked at his face, accepting the food, and said thanks to him for the food. The other members already glutton up the food. Perhaps they were so tired and hungry. I sat down besides Daesung and in front of Young Bae. Young Bae looked at me and smiled.

"Eat up Shila," he said.

"Oh, yes. Thank you. You too," I reply softly with a formal speech. Daesung turned to me.

"Hey! I'm the one who bought this! Say thanks to me as well!" I looked at him. Smiling and gestured my thanks to him.

"What?! We all paid for it! How come you said you're the one who bought this!" TOP interrupted. I startled. I looked at TOP face. But then he quickly said

"Haha… No Shila, it's not your fault. I'm just teasing Daesung. Don’t worry about it,” he looked concerned if I was uncomfortable with his words.

I chuckled. Seungri looked at me and said

"Whoa, looks like she don’t mind it. By the way, you’re so beautiful. Hyung*, I've fall for her!"

"I told you she's mine!" Daesung fight back.

"Ah hyung*... she's only yours in term of fan and friend. Then, let me be her guy," Seungri seemed like he didn't want to lose. By then, Ji Yong knocked his head.

"Ah! It’s hurt hyung*," Seungri groan.

"Just eat, will you?! Don't talk rubbish in front of her!" Ji Yong seemed to clear up the situation back to normal.

Daesung was laughing with his dongsaeng’s* behavior. I could only smile while chewing the food.

After we've done eating, all of the members seemed to get ready to go back to their dorm. Daesung look at me.

"Shila, do you want to see our dorm?"

"What? No thanks!" I replied quickly as I was too embarrassed to go to men's dorm. He looked at me then laugh.

"Haha, it's not like I'm asking you to stay in my house or what. Then, let's go for a walk. Then I can send you back before I get back to my dorm," he said.

"But, will it be ok? I'm afraid that I will trouble you".

"Not a bit. It’s perfectly fine," he replied.

He looked excited with everything. My heart pumped hard. He held my hands and said goodbye to the members before taking me somewhere. I had no idea where we were going.

"Daesung sshi*, where are we going?" I asked.

He looked at me and kept on walking. He seemed so happy tonight. If only he could see my heart pumping hard like it's going explode anytime at that moment!
